Summer 2010, The play “ Lie, Cheat, and Genuflect” will be performed July 14, 15,& 16 at 7:00 pm and 17 & 18 at 2:00 pm at the Rushford Peterson High School Theater. Tickets will be available at Rushford Foods for $9.00 and at the door ( If available) for $12.


CHILDREN'S THEATER

Prairie Fire Children’s Theater is coming again to Rushford the week of October 18 though the 23rd. Scores of local young people ages 7 thru 14 along with two professional actors will present the original music adaptation of the classic "Cinderella".

Auditions will be held at the R-P High School Theater , Monday Oct 18 from 3:30 pm until 5:30 pm. Some selected chosen parts will need to stay longer for some preliminary rehearsal. A week long practice will culminate in three performances, Friday Oct.22nd at 7:30pm, and Saturday Oct 23rd at 4:30 pm and 7:30 pm. in the high school theater.

Tickets are $ 7.00 for adults and $4.00 for children and will be available at rehearsals, and from Rushford Foods in Rushford the week of the play. If there are tickets available at showtime, they will be on sale at the door.

Please join us for Take Note!’s Spring concert on Sunday, May 23, 2010 at 3:00 p.m.

Take Note! (Southeastern Minnesota’s Showtune Choir) will present their spring concert on Sunday, May 23, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. in the Rushford-Peterson High School Auditorium. The program will feature hit songs from many of your favorite musicals including Gypsy, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Chicago, Annie Get Your Gun, Into the Woods, Little Women, Call Me Madam, Parade, and The Sound of Music. The group is under the direction of Judy Myers, associate professor and chair of the Department of Theatre and Dance at Saint Mary’s University. Guest artist for this year’s concert is Matthew Gorgone, tenor. Matthew is from Rhode Island and is studying musical theatre performance at Saint Mary’s University. Members of the community-based choir are from Rushford, Caledonia, Winona, Lewiston, Preston, and Chatfield. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the door.
